Such as I did for many years upon my 100th anniversary Harley 'Deuce', adventure bound. Centrifugal force pulls you as you succumb, not fighting but lean with it, in every twist and turn, as the 'V Twin' bellows and barks a mechanical tune. The road ahead is all that matters. For today, you are lost if only in dreams-a thousand miles from nowhere. "Live to Ride-Ride to Live" as the Motor Company likes to say.
Ever see the documentary film 'The Long Way Round' with Ewan McGregor? Marvelous indie film about him and his pal Charlie Boorman going from John 'O Groat's Scotland all the way to the tip of Africa on their BMW bikes! After watching this I went out and bought a new BMW R1200GS and hit the highways and backroads.
Well, I've been there-done that, so me and my trusty 1986 FJ60 Landcruiser will make do just fine on the next adventure. -RAS-
